IÕM A RAINBOW! About Rainbows Rainbows are so
neat. First, they are beautiful to look at and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
says he wants us to look like a Ôbeauty markÕ amongst people. That is why we
should always look clean and neat – because that is beautiful. Second, rainbows
are so many different colors and yet they look nice together.
They donÕt clash and when we see them next to each other they become one
thing: a rainbow! If you think about the sahabah that Prophet Muhammad loved
and was pleased with you will find that each of them has his own very
distinct personality and yet they all had one goal Òpleasing AllahÓ, and they
worked together towards spreading Islam as a team. Third, rainbows
appear up in the sky and that makes you look up! I love looking up. It
reminds you to be cheerful and to think of important and noble matters. It
uplifts your heart and mind. Fourth, did you
ever think about how unusual rainbows are? They combine two opposite
things: wet and dry, rain and sun. It is almost as though that is to
remind us of how a Muslim should always live a balanced life: the happy
medium between extremes. Fifth, think
about how combined together; the seven colors turn into the colorless ÔwhiteÕ
light we know! Sometimes when we
work together we become invisible as separate people but very
effective. Think about light: how strong and how useful. Sixth, did you
ever stop to think about each separate color? Think about all the
different things that come in each of those colors? Make a list and you will
find it brings happiness to your mind and heart just imagining all the
different things and feeling the different moods each color puts you in. Seventh, did you
know that some people believe that a rainbow is only six colors? Look it up.
IÕd rather believe that the colors are seven like so many other things
(Heavens, and Earth) that come in sevens. |
